Dear Tattersall,

I cordially invite you to my marriage with Mrs. John Shorrocks at 9 P.M. on 27th of this month. Mrs. John Shorrocks is none other than the woman who keeps the Ring-O-Bells at St. Philip’s Church.

You may be surprised on seeing this letter of Invitation. But things made me do this. I want to shire my feelings with you. My decision to marry again is a coorect one.

Yesterday I fell asleep in the morning. My daughter, Amelia thought I was dead. She and her husband Henry sent a telegram to the Jordans. They came to the house of the Slaters without delay. The Slaters could not even send for a doctor. Without seeing my dead body, they were planning how to share my assets. Meanwhile I woke up and went to the room where they were discussing. By that time the Slaters robbed my new slippers, bureau and clock. Finally I understood what happened when I was falling asleep.

You also know that my daughters are not at all interested in my welfare. They are interested only in my assets. After seeing their greedy behaviour, I strongly decided to marry Shorrocks. I think there is no other alternative, before me. I hope you will be pleased to come there.

Hoping your presence at the Ring-O-Bells on 27th March.

Yours sincerely,
Mr. Abel Merryweather.

daughters only love my money but not me. How unhappy I am to know this I am really unlucky.

Before the arrival of Elizabeth and her husband Amelia grabbed ny bureau, clock and even my slippers. Both my daughters wanted to make a list of my things to divide between them. They might have even discussed my paying the insurance premium. They preferred tea to me. It has taken a long time for me to understand both my daughters’ nature. Now I shall teach them a lesson.

I shall leave my things to the one with whom I would be living at the time of my death I told my daughters that they had no cause to feel proud the way they had kept me in the past. I took them by surprise with the announcement of my marriage with Mrs. John Shorrocks. I think my decision would be a correct one and a right answer to my greedy and selfish daughters.

(C) You have read the story “The Brave Potter”. The potter was appointed as the General of the Army. Imagine yourself as the potter’s wife and write a diary entry of the day.
Answer:
Dear Diary,

Oh ! My God ! What is going to happen ? What are these miracles! The donkey which has been tied to the tree has changed into a tiger! This person has said that he knows nothing. All the villagers have said that this person has tied the tiger to the tree and have begin to call him as The Brave Potter”. Today the king has made him the general of the Army.

He knows nothing except making pots and drinking wine. He doesn’t know how to ride a horse. Infact he is afraid of a sword. How can he fight the enemy ? I can’t understand anything. Though we want to run away we can’t do it. How can I save my family ? Oh! god only you are the person who can save us.
