Today is one of the darkest days of my life. I could not fulfil my son’s desire. Murthy has cleared IIT Entrance Test which is very tough. He has a dream of joining IIT. But I am helpless. A) Kadapa,
Dt. xx.xx.xxxx.
Dear Ramesh,
Hope, this letter finds you in pink of health. I am writing to you to express my feelings over the problem of global warming that has become quite alarming recently.
People, irrespective of their age – adults, kids, old age – all are finding it very difficult to tolerate the soaring temperatures. All these are a result of our own actions. Man in his greed is depleting the available resources, using fossil fuels indiscriminately.
All these resulted in release of green house gases like CO2, methane and increase of global warming. Ultimately we are the sufferers of this global warming and its dire affects.
I feel consequences of our actions are alarming and show imminent doom of humans. In order to correct the situation we should atleast no w start planting trees in open areas so that they reduce temperature and bring rains. Scarcity of water is terribly felt in several regions.
When there are rains, people waste rain water to flow into the gutters of sewages. I feel we should harvest rain water using techniques like soaking pits so that they can fill the ground levels. Every one is to be aware of the judicious usage of water, when it is available. Governments should implement a range of strategies to reduce green house gas emissions, increase energy efficiency and take other steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
Hope you too make people aware of this and take corrective measures to decrease global warming.
Your loving friend,
T. Suresh.
