Answer:
I am always conscious of my health. I go walking every morning. I take green tea in the morning with a couple of bananas. I don’t take any tiffin but a cup of sprouts. I go to school with a lunch box with limited meal. After I reach home, I take one more cup of green tea with a few biscuits. At night I eat again a limited food made of leafy vegetable and curd. I offer my prayers to God before I go to bed. So far I have never suffered from any health disorder.
Who would you recommend to a patient in your neighbourhood – the physicians contacted first or the specialist contacted next? Give reasons for your choice.
Answer:
I recommend physician first to a patient. The reason is that I believe that a physician can diagnose a disease properly. If something is not in his control, he would certainly hint that the patient can go to a specialist. Normally it does not happen because a physician can serve the patient better than a specialist in the beginning.
When would you make a pact with the sun ? When you are going on a picnic, or when you are playing a cricket match? Think of other reasons.
Answer:
I would make a pact with the sun when I play cricket. Under cloudy conditions, I would never play cricket. It may rain at any time. I enjoy playing in the sun, hecause I would sweat more which is good for health. I would also enjoy walking in the early morning because the morning sunshine would provide me with vitamin D in plenty. Vitamin D will strengthen our bones with enough calcium.
A Pact with the Sun Summary in English
Saeeda’s mother had been suffering from fever, cough, body-ache, painful joints, etc. for a long time. A variety of physicians treated her. During that time, she was denied healthy food, sunshine and fresh air. She was confined to a small dingy room. When she became critical, her relatives and neighbours persuaded her to consult a specialist. She followed their advice. The specialist examined her and gave her effective but costly medicine.
He advised her to occupy a bigger room with doors and windows open. He told her to sit in the sun every morning from eight to nine. He concluded that sunshine and fresh air are more important than medicine. Some favoured doctor’s advice while others opposed. But Saeeda’s mother was determined to follow the doctor’s advice.
Saeeda’s mother got her bed moved to the next room. She wished to sit in the sun on her charpoy for an hour daily. Unluckily, the sky remained cloudly for a few days. So she was unhappy and disappointed. She also complained to God about the sun. Saeeda who was playing nearby heard her mother’s lament. Later in the afternoon, she saw a spot of pale sunshine in the country yard. She asked her mother to bask in it. But the people said that it was too late and chilly and her mother could not sit out there. Then Saeeda requested the last departing ray of the sun to come the next day with lots of warmth and brightness. She added that her mother was sick and she needed their help to get well.
Next day the sun rays got ready to go to the earth. Then the sun said that it was their day off. The road to earth was blocked with thick clouds. Thus he raised an objection to their journey down to earth. One of them, said that he had made a pact with little Saeeda. He expressed his decision to fulfil the promise made to Saeeda. Then the other sun rays revolted against the sun and rushed towards the earth to fulfil their promise. They focussed their heat and the clouds scattered. Saeeda’s mother sat basking in the warm sunshine and breathed in fresh air. Her pale face glowed and her eyes shone bright. Soon she felt better. She is fully recovered now, but she still follows the doctor’s advice.
