• What I enjoy doing most
I enjoy reading books. It gives me pleasure, knowledge and entertainment. Good books are like good friends. They give us company in our leisure time. Hence I enjoy reading books.

If anybody tells lies to me, I get angry. Lying is a bad quality. I can’t believe any person if he goes on lying every time.
• What I hate to do
I hate throwing rubbish into drainage canal because it creates inconvenience to our neighbours. It gives stinking smell if water stagnates.
• What I want to become
I want to become a teacher because I can mould the lives of children and make them good citizens.
Who I Am Summary in English
The author tells us about what we are like and how we are different from others. He also talks about personality and confidence building.
Radha: Radha’s favourite activity is climbing trees. She loves to climb the mango tree which is outside their house. Her mother says that it is not sensible for the girls to climb trees. But one afternoon she also climbed it up. Both of them sat there and enjoyed talking and eating raw mangoes. When Radha is high up in the tree, she feels that she can rule the whole world.

Nasir: Nasir wants to become a seed collector when he grows up. He has cotton fields in the village. His father spends a lot of money on buying seeds every year. His grand father told him how to collect seeds from his own plants and use them to grow new plants during the next year. But that doesn’t work now. So Nasir wants to learn how to preserve seeds so that they can use them again. This helps them not to spend money every year.

Rohit: Rohit likes to travel all over the world. He wants to see the mountains of New Zealand, the Amazon river in South America, the Konark temple in Orissa, the old city in Beijing in China and the Pyramids in Egypt. He wants to live on the beaches of Lakshadweep and dive down to see coral. He prefers seeing nature to old buildings.

Serbjit: Serbjit becomes angry when people do not believe him even though he speaks the truth. His teacher does not trust him when he gives the genuine cause for not doing his homework and for not getting good marks in a test. Even his parents do not Believe him when he says that it is his brother who started the fight. He closes his eyes and starts counting to ten so that he becomes normal.

Dolma: Dolma wants to become the Prime Minister of India in order to do some service to the country. She wants to make things better for everyone. She wants to have good hospitals, roads and schools. She plans for good scientists who can cure diseases and send a spaceship to Mars. She is good at solving problems. She is honest and reliable.

Peter : Peter’s favourite day is the second Sunday of every month. On that day, his father takes the whole family to the cinema hall to see a film. He loves to sit in the. darkness of the hall eating peanuts and watching the film. Afterwards they all eat ice cream. Everyone is in a good mood. They feel very lucky to be the members of a happy family.
